Target Recognition And Tracking System Hardware Platform C6x Technology Research

The technology of video object recognition and tracking is an important branch being studied in modern science and technology field. The relative research project can be served for the need of national defence and civil applications. The project requests that the system of object recognition and tracking can recognize and track the object in the moving background.After the theoretical model of the system of object recognition and tracking being studied in this paper, the solution of relative software system and hardware system based on the C6202 high-speed DSP and large-scale PLD is developed. During the development of this project, the system design can be divided into four parts: hardware platform design> hardware system' s host computer driver program design> DSP software design> the whole system interface design. The design of hardware platform is mainly discussed in this paper.The method of modern electronic system design is taken into the design of whole hardware system. In the development of hardware system, the function expansibility and stability are emphasized greatly. The modularized structure is used in the design of hardware system. It not only reduces the complexity of design, but also benefits the group work. The function of hardware system includes converting video signal to digital image data^ digital image processing and data exchange with the host computer.The design N making and debugging of hardware system are finished. The system experimenting shows that the hardware system is quite good.
