1000MW Ultra Supercritical Unit Automatic Start-up And Shutdown System Design

More and more attentions on ultra supercritical units are attracted by the electric power industry of all countries due to their higher power generation efficiency and less pollution. In recent years, ultra supercritical units are developed rapidly as from assimilation of foreign units to having independent production capacity.Large capacity ultra supercritical units about1000MW are more difficult to control because their higher parameters compared with subcritical or supercritical units. The unit startup and shutdown processes can be performed automatically with less manual operations by automatic power plant start-up and shutdown system which can improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of the plant.The general situation of the engineering and production process features of a certain power plant in China is summarized in this paper. The requirements and control ranges about power plant unit start-up and shutdown process are analysed and design of sturcture of the automatic power plant start-up and shutdown system is given based on the operation regulation. To use breakpoints control method, the whole start-up and shutdown processes are divided into several subprocesses. Details about these breakpoints are set in the following contents. Function groups are designed according to the design principle. Upper public logic configuration and breakpoint function of macro configuration of the control system is accomplished by control builder of Ovation. On the basis of the designed structure of this control system, human machine interface ared designed by using graphics builder offered by Ovation. It is verified that the interface is rational and succinct and the control logic is clear, simple and can improve the efficiency of the controllers.
