Resource Discovery Model In Cloud Computing Environment

Cloud computing is a hot technology of IT industry nowadays.With the help of Cloud computing,network service providers can manage tens of millions or even billions of information in a flash,to achieve the same powerful function as supercomputers. At the same time, users can use these resources and services according to the need elasticly, so as to realize the dream that put computers as public facilities to provide.Resource discovery takes a part of a bridge between resource requester and resource provider. With the help of resource disco very requesters can find proper resources from the bundant and distributed cloud resources conveniently.From the view of the characteristics of resources in cloud computing environment and the design goal of resource discovery mechanisms, a kind of resource discovery mechanism which can adapt to resources dynamic change, have a good positioning performance and be extensible is needed.This resource discovery mechanism, can find information and location resources quickly and accurately, thus greatly improve the performance of network services. Because of each single mode have different advantages and defects, now various research are trying to do by experts both at home and abroad, and has made a certain progress. This paper tries to study the resource discovery mechanism in Cloud computing environment, in order to play a positive role for the further development of the technology.This paper begins with analysis and summary of the overseas and domestic research status over the years,which concerning the information and resource discovery mechanism in Cloud computing environment,thus lay the foundation to advance a new information and resource discovery model in Cloud computing environment.A resource discovery model based on semantic ontology in Cloud computing environment(ORDM,Ontology Resource Discovery Model) is explored and designed.The two corn components including resource/service description and service matching are elaborated.The construction process, design idea and model features of the Ontology Resource Discovery Model are given. Then, various components of ORDM have to be addressed,the study focus on service description,ontology construction and service matching algorithm.At last, a calculation formula about the similarity of concept is given, which give full consideration to the feasibility and the effectiveness of the model under the environment of multiple ontologies.
