With the development of network and Internet, comes the new need for distributed computing architecture. Computing is becoming pervasive, ubiquitous and mobile. How to improve the service style, use the resources better and make the software services more convenient and flexible under network environment is a hot research of modern research. JINI supports services' dynamic registration and discovery and transfer. It makes software services have the ability of adaptable, self-healing, self-governing and distributed, and it provides a new solution for distributed computing.In this dissertation firstly analyzes the history of the distributed computing, and compares the now popular distributed object technology such as CORBA, DCOM, RMI. Under above discussion we discuss a new pattern to resolve the problems of the now distributed architecture: based JINI service distributed computing architecture. And makes this a point to make elementary research of SOP(Service Oriented Programming).This dissertation also compares the SOP and the OOP(Object Oriented Programming).JINI itself is a distributed environment. It's ability of distributed object technology and mobile code and it's mechanism of lookup service, renew, remote event and distributed transaction provides full support for services' programming, discovery and access. In this dissertation does research in how to realize the resources discovery of Internet environment using JINI technology. Service discovery is the key of easy use of network devices and application programs and resource discovery. In this dissertation, several leading service discovery solutions, which are developed and improved by the academic and industrial communities, are introduced in detail firstly. And then do comparison and analysis of their features. Does research in designing new after-selling fault diagnose architecture using JINI and mainly its dynamic release, discovery and lookup mechanism to get diagnose services, and makes analysis of the programmed model. A service describing solution based on semantic method is given using xml technology according service discovery match style and practical application. This solution make the service requester discover the service provider and understand its service, thus achieve semantic level understandability. According the now application status of JINI and our task, web and JINI mixed application architecture is introduced. In order to doresearch in resource discovery applications, the operations between JINI and other distributed object technology are an important aspect. In this dissertation do research in integrated possibility and integrated mode of JINI and CORBA.In the end gives the conclusion and explores the further developments of the field of JINI theory and applications.
