Andespecially for food and beverage management, the service project, industry which has alarge amount of information, to improve the efficiency of labor, reduce the costs ofindustry, improve industry service quality and manage the industry level, promote theprofit of the economic, modern information management has done a pretty vitalsignificance with the aid of the computer,.Restaurant if you want to compete, you must have better educated,informationization, the network era characteristics of catering industry. With thedevelopment of the technology of network, it has changed our way of life and has madeour daily life more convenient, the comprehensive network has been deeply into ourdaily life, network will also change the industry of food and beverage industry. Networkenriched catering service time and space, and provides the customers with remote orderclose service, etc. Catering business model and high new information managementservice mode should be used to change. Therefore, wireless order system arises at thehistoric moment. For the time being, China as well as abroad order system mainly bemade up of the following three forms:(1) cable touch screen, the identification card, server;(2) wireless order machine, identification card, wireless access point+server;(3) wireless PDA, wireless access point, server.The catering management system developed by this paper USES the " wirelessaccess point, wireless PDA, server" system architecture, will order functions areintegrated into the entire restaurant management system, make whole dining systemwith the order, billing, inventory management and decision analysis, and other functions.Action objects from the restaurant waiter transferred to consumer customers, thisrevolutionary change adds to the customer and the restaurant’s interactive, provides theoriginal system does not have service, such as providing dishes in detail, encourages customers to order their own pay, or even provide a platform for customer reviewson dishes, etc."Food and beverage management system" is designed for the food&beverage, thissystem is to use Microsoft SQL Server2000database system and the development of c#program language, the food and beverage management system for the restaurantfounding, order/add dish, query and invoicing, accounts for the user to enter data,carries on the strict inspection, data at the same time to join the order system, advancedhandset to realize automatic on consumer accounts settlement and query historicalrecords of consumption, support fuzzy queries and other operations, with a simple,friendly interface, great flexibility, high security of the system, can operate stable, etc.
