In recent years, with the number of cars has increased, accompanied with thetransportation industry is booming. To ensure the running safety of vehicles, how tocarry out effective control and management of vehicle, improve traffic efficiency, hasbecome a hot issue of social concern. With the development of GIS, GPS positioningtechnology and wireless communication technology, intelligent traffic system by usingcomputer processing of advanced technology, information technology, datacommunication technology, electronic control technology and effective integration forthe entire transportation management system, effectively alleviate traffic congestion,improve the road capacity. Vehicle monitoring and management system as an organicpart of the intelligent transportation system, has important practical significance to thestudy of.The main research content of the dissertation is the design and implementation ofvehicle monitoring and management system. Firstly, research status of vehiclemonitoring system at home and abroad are analyzed, the principle and the technicalcharacteristics of the key technology of GPS, Java EE platform and Oracle databasesystem. Combined with the work content and business characteristics, the overall goalof building are analyzed, the demand function of vehicle monitoring system are clearlydefined and detailed introduction. This paper studies the basic principle ofcommunication system and implementation process, and completed the design of thevehicle terminal, communication vehicle monitoring system, electronic maps, andmainly relates to the user, the driver and the vehicle unit, the four main system databasedesign. In the software development process monitoring center, analysis and design ofthe overall structure, system architecture, functional architecture based on TCP/IPcommunication network service layer, and realizes the positioning system architectureand system network layer, establishment and the actual business and basic application issuitable for monitoring of integrated management information platform, datacommunications and electronics map integration, system management, vehiclemanagement and comprehensive coordination, processing, information exchange andbusiness system integration, electronic surveillance and other functions.Through the effective integration of GPS, GIS and wireless communication technology, transmission, vehicle location information of the vehicle monitoring andmanagement, realize the system goal setting. At present, the system has achieved goodeffect.
