With the rapid growth of automotive industry and the consistent improvement ofe-commerce, the domestic logistics industry has also been rapid developed. As the keylink of logistics, VRP is becoming more and more important. How to control andmanage the vehicles efficiently is a problem to be studied. On one hand, the problemdoes with the utilization rate and security of the vehicle. On the other hand, a reasonablepath arrangement can low distribution costs and offer a high quality service. As the main contents, the theory focused on the design of scheduling andmonitoring of the logistics vehicles. The system was divided into four functionalmodules, which are vehicle unit, monitoring center, server and vehicle routingscheduling module.1. The main controller of vehicle unit’s hardware is ARM9STM32F101. GPRSand GPS are the modules of wireless communication and satellite positioning. At thesame time, the uClinux operating system brings much more convenience to theapplication of GPRS in this system.2. The monitoring center’s software is developed in.NET environment with C#language for user interfaces, the51ditu Maps API is used to achieve the GIS’s functionsby JavaScript, and the remote database is accessed in XML form by Web Service.3. The Microsoft SQL Server2008is used as the back-end database for centerserver to build a bridge between vehicle unit and monitoring center.4. The vehicle routing scheduling module is supported by C-W Saving Algorithms, which has been improved and optimized by considering the cost of waiting, delaying aswell as information of toll stations.Due to the combination of GPS, GPRS and GIS, the positioning of vehicles, transmission of information and realization of management module are completedexcellently, also the integration of C-W Saving Algorithm provided a scientificdecision-making basis for vehicle routing optimization, improved the efficiency ofdelivery, reduced costs and achieved the desired effects.
