With China’s rapid economic development, which brings both opportunities andchallenges to logistics industry.It is required to shoulder increasingly heavy andcomplex tasks. Fast and accurate are the current greatest requirements of the logisticsindustry. when pursuing faster,better and stronger, logistics enterprises also need toimprove efficiency and take the road of scientific development.The traditional mode oflogistics information system solved the needs of informationization of logistics to acertain extent, but it failed to take full advantage of the strengths of cyberization, inaddition, there are problems in many aspects, such as the style of user interface is notuniformed, the complexity of development and maintenance, difficult to transplant,can’t accept the new technology,lack of a systematic structural architecture and so on.The application of GIS technology and using J2EE development architecture which hasthe advantages of unlimited platform, safety and stability and designing logisticsinformation system based on WEB and cross-platform use on mobile devices makelogistics information system turn from " digital life" mode to" network survival "modecome true.The thesis of this paper is on the basis of the actual needs of the logistics industryat this stage. The ultimate goal is to develop logistics information system based onWebGIS. This paper mainly involves the following aspects:Firstly, analyze application status of domestic GIS technology in the logisticsmanagement information system, demonstrate the feasibility of this thesis, selectappropriate new technologies and certain the needs.Secondly, do specific requirements analysis to the system, divide functionalmodules, make detailed plan for logistics information system according to the “highcohesion and loose coupling " design principle, improve and complete the systemcombined with the actual needs.Thirdly, test the logistics information system which is developed on WebGIS,summarize the development and implementation of the system and make workprospects for the next step.It proofed that the logistics information system based on WebGIS designed in thisthesis can basically meet the design requirements via a serial of functional tests.It It ultimately realize the cyberization of logistics information management process,information sharing and make query and assign logistics distribution line based onWebGIS become reality.
