With the IT development and the economic globalization, more and more products are in circulation of the world market. The activities among the produce, sales and consumption become increasingly massive and complicated day by day, so the demand of reducing the cost of logistics is more and more urgent. The mode of organization and management of the first and second party logistics can not meet the needs of the enterprise. And the corporation must establish the core competence, enhance the management of the supply chain, and outsource the logistics which are not belong to the core business, to participate in the worldwide competition. As a result, the third and the fourth party logistics rise timely. Compared to the traditional logistics, the third party logistics is more professional, possesses lower synthetically cost and more efficient distribution, so it has become the trend of international logistics. At the same time, smart mobile, GPS, etc, which supply more and more functions are widely used. With the appearance of GPRS, people can visit Internet anywhere at any time. Undoubtedly, it would be very convenient and efficient for us to use the mobile as a tool to manage dynamic logistic information and retrieve the traffic. So the development of such a synthetically logistic information system, which is based on the technology of embedded system, WebGIS and Web Service and of several kinds of services, and includes the information of trucks, goods and special lines, is of strong practical significance.Adopting the newest technologies of AJAX, LINQ, MVC architecture, GPS, Web Service and Embedded System, this system is developed on the newest platform of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, which solves the problems of controlling the cost of transportation and improving the efficiency. This system not only makes the everyday operation of enterprise digitalization, but describes the logistics equipments of the enterprise and the goods of its customers in precise digits. So, the system can not only improve the efficiency of the work of enterprise, but improve the enterprise image and help the enterprise to attract more customers. Moreover, for the combination of GIS/GPS and wireless communication, the system makes the vehicle at anywhere be transparent and under control. With the support of the decision-models base of the enterprise, the system can compute the best path of logistics by using the storage conditions and the real-time position obtained by GPS, which can help the logistics equipment to navigate, shorten the run-time and reduce the cost of transportation. At the same time, the Embedded and web service technologies are applied to the system, so it can visit the remote server real-time and facilitate the process of logistic distribution.From requirement, outline design to detail design and the implementation and test of the system, this thesis detailed the process of the design and implementation of the Logistics Information System based on WebGIS and WebService, and concludes the characters of the system.This system has all-round logistics information database, and can satisfy the query requirements of people. It can also provide a platform for logistics enterprise to attract more customers. So the system possesses very good commercial value.
