From the perspective of the daily operation requirements of the meteorologicaldepartment, this thesis discusses a method to set up an online integrated applicationplatform which can access real-time meteorological data, mainly including the demandanalysis of meteorological observation data, the construction of Oracle database system,and the realization of web application platform based on Java Struts framework. Theplatform will play an important role in providing convenience for inquiring and usingmeteorological data, promoting meteorological scientific research level, and developinga meticulous meteorological forecast.Proceeding from the existing observation method and the data of DongGuanMeteorological Bureau, this platform focuses on the analysis of the current datacomposition, structure features and use requirements. In order to achieve diversifieddata and intensive using and sharing, the platform fuses all kinds of observation data indifferent ways together. Meanwhile, the platform also has different observation data ofmulti-dimensional statistics and graphical interface display so that workers engaged inmeteorological observation, forecasting and scientific research are able to complete therelevant data statistics and preliminary analysis, form visual graphic interface andprovide basic data analysis for developing the current daily forecast business and therefined warning forecast business for different urban areas in future.The development of the platform mainly adopts the web service design conceptbased on the network connection and disperse operation model, taking full advantage ofthe most popular B/S structure with powerful Oracle database and Java cross-platformlanguage. The platform based on the MVC pattern is developed by MyEclipse withStruts framework. Because of the use of B/S structure, the platform has an excellentaccessibility performance. Via internet connection computer, users have access to thedata of the platform anywhere without worrying about whether the computer hasapplication to access the platform or not. Therefore, the platform not only makes allkinds of observation data convenient for forecasters and scientific researchers, and alsogreatly reduces the client side load and the system maintenance cost.
