In the traditional network architecture of the campus network, the issues of security, management, and upgrade become increasingly prominent, while unreasonable resource allocation, poor user experience and inefficient management exist all the way because of extensive network management. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize campus network architecture and achieve efficient network management.Based on the analysis of specific issues, and combining the development dereliction of future network, this paper proposes optimization towards flat network architecture and meticulous network management and also shows the specific methods to achieve meticulous network management. On this basis, this paper puts forward a topology discovery algorithm and an improvement method of IPv6 access authentication. The main research works and achievements of this paper are as follows:Firstly, because of traditional topology discovery algorithm cannot meets the new environment of flat network architecture and Qin Q, this paper proposes a SNMP-based topology discovery algorithm. Considering network shows a full Layer 2 network in the flat network architecture, through extending and developing the theory of previous, this algorithm deduces a new theorem as the foundation of algorithm design. It can not only adapt to flat architecture and meticulous management, but also be more efficient.Secondly, in order to further meet the needs of meticulous management, combining the features and the actual campus network environment of IPv6, realizing one-to-one between username and IPv6 address, we propose improved methods for IPv6 access authentication. These methods mainly for PPPo E and IPo E, the core is to insert IPv6 addresses distribution program that translate username to IPv6 address after authentication. Meanwhile, by introducing DES algorithm because of considering security, design and implement conversion and inverse conversion program.Lastly, relying on existing resources, we design and implement flat network architecture, Qin Q technology and IPo E, PPPo E access authentication.
