The Design And Application Of Gansu Meteorological Department Comprehensive Management Information System

This paper is aimed at presenting the design and application of Gansu Meteorological Department Comprehensive Management Information System (CMIS). The scope of the design is to build a comprehensive information database and effective office administration system, which will meet the dynamic demand of business restructure and balance the application complexity with short development duration. The system is developed based on Java and Hibernate Query Language, combing advanced Java technology such as Ajax, Servlet, JavaBean and JDBC with the Struts, Spring and Hibernate features.JavaEE frame is also used to help the office administration automation more effectively. The system highlights two features, backward compatibility and extension capability. It not only is compatible to the system originally developed such as Domino Notes document transmit/receive system, but also need to accommodate the increasing information volume and business demand in future. The flexibility, versatility and interchangeability of the system get enhanced by universal TCP/IP protocol and Java platform, standard data format and the overall systematical frame with reserved subsystem interface.
