Large engineering vehicle that work sites scattered, and often change, has thecharacteristics of field operation and location uncertain. Management personnel forthe monitoring and management of its is very inconvenient, and the workingconditions of the operator and the equipment itself state cannot grasp. Now developedin-vehicle network monitoring system has strong pertinence, often in a special systemof a particular type of design, which will cause the appropriate cutting this monitoringsystem can not be easily carried out in hardware and software, is applied to othertypes of large engineering vehicle monitoring. So ti is very necessary to design ageneral-purpose vehicle data acquisition and communication device for the main unitof the monitoring system.Vehicle data acquisition and communication device developed in this paper,using3G wireless network and GPS location positioning technology of largeengineering vehicle equipment state information, real-time operation data and GPSlocation information is transmitted to the remote monitoring point. So that the remotemonitory point of staff can be real-time online monitoring of large state and operationsituation of engineering vehicles, and construction sites, the vehicle speed and time,so as to realize the remote monitoring personnel to the scene monitoring of largeengineering vehicles and homework personnel management, as well as to the certaintyof the construction work general situation.Firstly, the paper studies the background and significance of the topic, andanalyzes the current situation of CAN bus technology and the development trend ofdata collection and communication. Secondly, according to the functionalrequirements of the monitoring system in the device status, construction work andsecurity, puts forward the overall design ideas, detailed introduces hardware typeselection and design of the vehicle data acquisition and communication de vice.Including industrial motherboard based on PXA270processor (XScale architecture)as a core control, the selection of3G wireless routing, GPS module, industrialswitches and batteries, as well as the design of the standby power module. Thirdly, thepaper designs the software program of vehicle data acquisition and communicationdevice. Designing of the communication protocol and message transmission format,write analog, digital and pulse data acquisition program, data preprocessing, made specific analysis of the design of data communication, and design the heartbeat packetdetection methods to ensure that the wireless communication is expedite, to achievethe effect of flexible configuration, data acquisition and transmission flexible. Finally,the vehicle data acquisition and communication device has carried on the laboratorytests and industrial field running test, including acquisition parameters configuration,data acquisition and communication test.The alignment tests show that, the vehicle data acquisition and communicationdevice can be very good to complete data collection and communication with thevehicle computer and remote monitoring points. The industrial field of stableoperation, to achieve the expected goal and function demand, higher p racticality.
