Research And Implementation Of Vehicle Traveling Data Recorder Wireless Data Acquisition System

With the quick development of modern traffic, road traffic safety is more and more valued, however, traffic accident is growing. In order to monitor the driving behavior, the vehicle running status should be recorded and stored, especially, running speed and running time. The national standards on vehicle traveling data recorder, has been issued by National Bureau of Quality and Technology Supervision in Apr.15th,2003. From then on, vehicle traveling data recorder gets into practical stage, with a quite fast development. Years later, vehicle traveling data recorder with GPS, which can reports vehicle running status in real-time, plays an important role in traffic supervision.Cable data transmission is the main way of getting the data in vehicle traveling data recorder, such as, flash disk, micro-printer. GPS recorder can get data from GPS data platform, but, all the methods usually lag. In order to get the speeding and overtime driving information in real-time on the road, this paper designs wireless data acquisition system of vehicle traveling data recorder. This system can get speeding and overtime driving information by the way of wireless communication.Wireless data communication based on433MHz is the solution of this system. Wireless data transmission protocol is designed based on national standards on vehicle traveling data recorder, wireless module is added on the former vehicle traveling data recorder, at the same time, wireless data collector is designed. This paper will illustrates wireless communication protocol, hardware and software of new vehicle traveling data recorder and the wireless data collector, at last verify the feasibility of the system through a serious of tests.
