With the development of Internet technology, network has penetrated the control system of the control layer and equipment layer. A large amount of building field device communicates through serial port, CAN and USB bus, but because it does not have network interface, so that it can’t be directly connected to the Internet. This thesis demonstrates constructing the chip system on FPGA, and transplanting operating system; completing protocol conversion scheme on the operating system; designs hardware platform as the core of EP2C35F672, realizes the protocol conversion from serial to Ethernet, completes remote security monitoring based on the monitoring center and the users. Through the verification, the whole system runs stably and reliably.The thesis gives the scheme design and the system composition of the whole system, and project demonstration. It briefly introduces the CAN and USB; Describes the RS-232, RS-485, CAN and USB interface circuit design on hardware part, constructs the chip system——Nios Ⅱ system on the core device EP2C35F672;describes the whole process of transplanting the operating system on Software part, and gives the application flow chart and key code. Finally, it makes analysis and outlook to the experiments from serial port to Ethernet.On the basis of the intensive research of designing scheme and the existing experimental conditions, the thesis describes four kinds of bus and the3G module interface circuit on hardware part, adopts DE2development board as hardware platform, transplants the operating system on the development board, finally completes the protocol conversion from serial port RS-232and RS-485to Ethernet. To the protocol conversion from the CAN and USB to TCP/IP, as well as the3G wireless transmission module,which will be served as the extending part of the thesis.
