Design And Implementation Of Financial Management Information System For Small And Medium Enterprises

With the rapid development of Chinese social economy, many small and medium private enterprises have been vigorously growing. This growth contributed to the growth of the social economy. Small and medium enterprises (SME) relatively operate in a smaller scale which usually causes them to be relatively less advanced in their financial management. And if the financial management is not carried out properly, the SME is prone to a development bottleneck. With the information age and the development of Internet technology, financial software technology has become a major management tool for SME to solve their financial problems. Financial management system allows corporate financial officers to be freed from tedious manual operation, thus the increase in the efficiency. This advantage benefits the SME as the managers can improve the quality of business operations analysis and decision making. In the early stages, financial management system needs to be customized according to the development of the SME due to software development cost, higher cycle time, example high end software for large or state owned enterprises. With the development and growth of the software industry, the financial management system gradually could achieve the standardization and modularity. This is growing to become a trend in most SME.Based on the business conditions and characteristics of the financial management system of SME, study shows that SME is suitable for design development of financial system. This paper studies the macro background of developed countries in Europe and America from its first application of financial systems. The domestic benefits of SME financial management systems are also analyzed. With the research information from both overseas and domestic financial management, the paper then studies how to do the developed financial management systems in Europe and America can be used to analyze the current situation in China’s own SME from the detailed system design, coding, implementation and testing deployment. In the process of developing and designing a suitable system for the domestic SME, factors such as system capability, security and scalability, ease of use and meeting the actual needs of the financial management have to be considered. The system will also take in account the situation of the domestic SME financial management and domestic accounting policy as the requirement to create a framework. The overall framework and module design of the system will use the SQL Server2005as a database while Delphi7.0as the development tool. The system testing will be tested strictly following the software testing process to ensure the quality of the system.
