Coherent light source in visible spectral range is always an interesting topic of research with a lot of potential applications. We can get the laser in two ways:sum-frequency mixing the dual wavelengths from single laser crystal or the different spots pump structure, but now it’s very difficult to make a the development of the laser in this waveband because of the gain competition, the complicated structure of the laser system and so on. In this paper, we avoid these problems by using a new pump structure:a diode array pumped946nm quasi-three level Nd:YAG laser was used to intracavity pump the other Nd:YAG crystal to obtain1064nm radiation,501nm continuous-wave was obtained by using a doubly cavity, type-Ⅰ critical phase matching LBO crystal sum-frequency mixing with946nm and1064nm.Firstly, based on the intracavity pumped laser theory, the intracavity pumped Nd:YAG-Nd:YAG laser was discussed. Moreover, the intracavity power matching relation between946nm and1064nm in the intracavity pumped Nd:YAG-Nd:YAG laser was numerically simulated. Secondly, based on the technology of laser resonant cavity, the V resonant cavity was designed for this paper And the thermal lens effect was simulated in computer. At last, the maximum output of485mW laser at501nm was obtained at an incident pump power of25.4W when the length of the intracavity pumped crystal is4mm, this is good matched with the theoretical calculation.
