Laser Diode pumped solid-state laser(DPSSL) is an important branch in laser field.Continuous wave and pulse operation,Q-switching and mode-locking operation havebeen achieved for DPSSL which have a lot of uses in the field of medicine,process andso on. Diode-pumped solid-state laser has been paid more attention for itsadvantages.Green,red,blue and ultraviolet solid-state lasers have attracted manyscientists.Blue laser is very valuable for military,communication,high-density opticalstorage,information,colorful display of laser,colorful printing and biochemistry.And that Diode-pumped (LD) all-solid-state lasers have become a central of focusin the field of lasers due to their many advantages such as high efficiency, compactness,high stability, and long lifetime. They are widely used in the field of industry, scientificresearch, national defence and military, medical treatment, etc.Therefore,In recentyears,more and more attention has been given to solid-state blue laser,but itsdevelopment is more slower than green,red all-solid-state laser.In the paper, thetechnique has beenadoPted for 473 nm blue laser with doubling 946 nm of Nd:YAG.Not only exhaustive theory but also experiment of it has been given in this paper. Themain continents can be summarized as follows.1.First we review the history and development of diode-pumped all-solid-statelasers,introduce main characteristic of all-solid-state lasers.Then we review thedevelopment and application foreground of all-solid-state blue laser.2.ntroduce the theoretical foundation of LD.Based on the equation of velocity,the analyses given in this paper to quasi-three-level for 946 nm laser are complete.Introduce the characteristic of Nd:YAG.And analyse the designment of syntonic cavity.3.With the more and morereach on blue laser, achieve blue through intracavitydoubling. This thesis gives frequency douling and the principle of phase matching,thenintroduces the characteristics for frequency-doubled of LBO .
