21st century is the time of information technology, with the development of new telecom and Internet technology, promoting the great progress of human civilization. The Internet has become one of the most important information infrastructure and channel of information flow in nowadays. Making the embedded devices join into Ethernet is the highlight in the field of embedded research, all kinds of mobile terminals, industrial equipment and other embedded electronics can be connected to the Internet, and realize the real-time network communication. For its low power consumption, parallel processing ability and other characteristics, DSP processor is always used in the embedded devices, and this thesis presents a design of Ethernet interface based on DSP, realize the network communication function of DSP.This thesis bases on the vibration monitoring system and researches the Ethernet interface technique of DSP and analyses several currently used and popular embedded TCP/IP protocol stack. On this background, analyze and design the hardware platform with ADSP-BF533as core processor, and embedded TCP/IP protocol stack is running on this platform. The Ethernet interface uses DAVICOM Company’s production of8/16bits chip named DM9000A which is widely used at present, realize the function of the physical layer and link layer.According to clear hierarchy of the TCP/IP protocol stack, taking the modular programming ideas, coding and debuging for each protocol from the bottom-up procedure, the main protocol includes:ARP, ICMP, IP, TCP etc.Finally, the embedded hardware platform and TCP/IP protocol stack are tested with local area network (LAN) environment. Test results prove that the designed DSP hardware platform can run steadily and the basic function of TCP/IP protocol stack work correctly. The network communication between the upper and lower level can work steadily, achieve the expection of original design.
