In recent years, research on connecting embedded system with Internethas become one of the focuses in applications of embedded system. Embeddedsystem is closed to production and life of human being and it owns unlimitedinformation resources. The information can be shared through embeddedsystem with Internet. The implementation of TCP/IP protocol stack inembedded system is the implement premise of embedded Internet. This paper designs a light TCP/IP protocol stack with ARM7 seriesMCU(Micro Control Unit), which is suitable for embedded system. It adoptsARM ADS 1.2 which integrated with editor, compiler, emulator and debuggeras the development environment. The hardware platform mainly includesLPC2114 of Philips and the net interface adopts its serial interface.Firstly, on the basis of analyzing the present status of TCP/IP protocolstack, this paper points out the main problem of embedded TCP/IP protocolstack. After a deep research on the basic theory of embedded system andTCP/IP protocol stack, the paper analyses and improves the traditionalembedded TCP/IP protocol stack and presents the strategy of TCP/IP protocolstack based on embedded system. This strategy brings forward "Nil-Copy"memorizer management method, optimizes IP encapsulation, demultiplexingand reassembly based on embedded system, presents the method of TCP statusmachine on embedded system, certification and retransmission mechanism.Secondly, the embedded web server is also studied from another point ofview. It can monitor long distance embedded system through dynamic web. Finally, the paper accomplished the software design and data structuredescription with ADS 1.2 and the test was also made.A new way was introduced to the fields of TCP/IP protocol stack systemthrough this paper. The proposed embedded TCP/IP protocol stack has greatapplication potential.
