Considering the significant loads of the important industries where power interruption is thoroughly forbidden, the allocation of the dual power supply, applied to guarantee the reliability and stability of the power supply, is of critical importance. While for the important induction motor load, with the existence of residual voltage after power interruption, the traditional dual power-switching device and power-switching method will produce considerable transient current and electromagnetic torque impact in adverse conditions, and consequently, a safe and normal operation of the load cannot be secured.The objective of this study was to conduct the theoretically analyses and researches for the influence of residual voltage on soft switching mode when the dual power was switched. And through analyzing the influence of the residual pressure on the soft-switching control method under different residual voltage condition, supply the corresponding switching methods. Meanwhile, analyses and researches were carried out to study the influence of the torque on the residual pressure and phase under different load conditions (including no-load, light load and heavy load), and by calculating, proposed the proper soft-switching method under different load situations. MATLAB software is introduced to build simulation model, for analyzing and simulating the different soft-switching method under distinct conditions.In this thesis a hardware circuit program of the whole novel semi-solid state dual power-switching device was proposed, and completed the design and production of this dual power soft-switching device. Experimental platform based on this novel device was built up, with the purpose of making well preparation for the subsequent experiments.
