With the rapid development of chemical industry, the application of poisonous and harmful gas in chemical production is becoming more and more popular, and the information level aimed at monitoring poisonous and harmful gas has been improved. Combined with the actual production needs, this paper studied the key problems faced by the chlorine gas safety monitoring system based on wireless sensor network, and designed chlorine environment monitoring system of amulti-parameter based on WSN.This paper adopted SimpliciTI small self-organized network as wireless communications core architecture, built the whole monitoring system based on MSP430F149ultra-low-power processor and CC1101RF chip. This paper studied the monitoring schemes under different hazard level aimed at the unpredictability of leakage degree when chlorine cause security problems, designed the transmission circuit of electrochemical sensor which is used for low concentration detection and semiconductor detection sensor which is used for high concentration detection, and the transmission circuit constituted a sensor node equipment together with the communication module、power management module、processor module and display and alarm module. This paper completed the temperature compensation to the information collected by temperature and humidity module by software, designed the star network topology by developing the underlying drivers under the environment of IAR. The communication protocol was optimized by using the synchronous dormancy mechanism, and the low power design of the system was completed and friendly a human-computer interaction interface on CVI platform was developed. This design carried out the performance test and high-low temperature、high-low humidity、falling vibration environment experiment for the design samples.Wireless sensor networks and low power design is the core of the entire platform, modular design enhanced the flexibility、maintainability、scalability and portability of the system. This system met the design requirements and the application requirements.
