The Research On Mainstream Transformation Of Chu Tian Newspaper

In the Late1990s, Urban Newspaper sprung up, invoking a strike in press industry. With the intensifying competition, it was a common phenomenon that the homogeneous and vulgar productions of Urban Newspaper. With the weakening public opinion guiding of media, the nationwide Urban Newspaper began their transformations into mainstream media to develop themselves. In the transformations, the "Chutian Metropolis Daily" achieved a great success by guiding public opinion positively, spreading mainstream values. In this paper the writer will take "Chutian Metropolis Daily" as the example, assess and review it’s development since the transformation has began in2007, analyze the advantages and disadvantages before the transformation, the deepening reasons of transformation, the strategies during transformation.Meanwhile, the paper will mainly discuss the innovation of typical characters reports, important events reports, depth reports, systemically analyze the social and economic effects of the transformation. This paper is not only a summary of the recent5years’ transformation of "Chutian Metropolis Daily", but also brings up the difficulties the other dailies need to overcome during the transformations, offer the references for them.
