With comparison of the traditional warehouse, the automated multi-layeredstorehouse has taken revolutionary change. Firstly, it has realized the computerautomatic control, and has greatly enhanced the working efficiency and the accuracy.Secondly, they occupies the same area, but compared with the traditional warehousesthe storage capacity is of huge superiority, say several times or even dozens of times.More over, it may truly realize the FIRST IN FIRST OUT management which reducesloss due to too long stock time. Finally, it may effectively improve the businessmanagement level through advanced management software.On the view of the automated multi-layered storehouse’s superiority andcharacteristic, we specially design and implement the management information systemsoftware for warehouse management based on the actual demand of the CHINTwarehouse and logistic management, which is used to monitor and control of the storagespace and the work, so on. The system fastens the inventory turnover capacity andeffectively manipulates inventory cost.The whole system adopts the Delphi development and C/S(Client/Server)construction. There are two logic levels for the system technical routes--the underlyingservice environment and business logic layer. The two modules--storage spacemanagement and the work management are two parts of WIMS5.X seriesstandardization product, which can be used only under insertion informationmanagement system. In addition, the information management system should keep dataconsistency and timeliness with the company’s existing ERP system. Therefore, in termof system design, we must consider the interface design for the two parts. Meanwhilewe should also full consider of the requirement of the data procedures and safety duringthe system design process. To ensure the successful implementation of informationmanagement system of the automated stereoscopic warehouse, the whole project shouldbe in strict accordance with the requirement of software project implementationmethodology. It should have four stages: system demand analysis, system design,system implementation, and system test. At present, the system has been formally run, itplays important role in enterprise internal management’s improvement during the practical application.
