Delphi-based Warehouse Management System Design And Implementation

The warehouse management system gives people much relief from the complicatework of the stock calculation．XinLi chemicals company has a variety catalogue ofproducts in stock, which differ a lot from each other, all these factors make thecalculation process much complicated． Manual operation can be of low efficiency, andlots of staff are needed． This system is designed to enhance the management efficiencyof the stock management and reduce the cost.This thesis exactly aims at the questions above, centers at the exploitation of thestock management system, systematically demonstrates and designs the functionalmodule which is used by the stock management system, and mainly includes thefollowing contents:1. It analyses the software characteristics of Delphi and SQL Sever which areused by the developing system. With its interface designed by Delphi and databasebullet by SQL Server, this system, is linked by ADO.2. It accomplishes the requirement analysis of the stock management system bymeans of the survey and analysis to the enterprise. On the basis of the full requirementanalysis and according to the leader’s demand of the stock management, it is consistedof four modules: log in, warehouse management, business inquiry, and systemsetting．The programmers write out the detailed requirement analysis, this enables thestock manager and enterprise manager to master the dynamic state of the stock at anytime.3. It designs the database using the means of the combination of object facing andstructuring, and designs the function and procedure on the basis of system requirementanalysis. It uses SQL Server to compile all kinds of forms such as storing informationforms, checking information forms and stocking information forms, etc. The database isconnected to the program designed by Delphi through ADO.4. The interface more beautiful and practical. The components adopted are QQ skincomponent, Dance fall component, etc．It arranges the buttons and options at the sameplace as possible, so that it can make the users master the information on the screen asquickly as possible. The meanings and effects of the terms, colour, icons, choosingmeans and communicating order, which is used at interface, are also kept consistent altogether. This can ensure the user to use the graphics correctly.It is proved that this system can fulfill the requirement of the warehousemanagement in XinLi Medical Company and can be helpful to the designment anddevelopment of the same kind system.
