Today the competition of the insurance industry becomes fierce increasingly. Inorder to enhance the core competitiveness, ongoing information-oriented reforms needto be done in an enterprise. Over the years, insurance companies have had a largecustomer data. In the past, it was hard to generate high-quality sales leads that were fitfor selling from low-quality data. A large number of marketing staffs tried to achievethis goal with kinds of useless technology and manual processes. Without a doubt, thisled to ungeared marketing, the lack of coordination of sales, potential customers thatwere not interested and the loss of sales opportunities. In the situation, sales leadmanagement theory and technology come into being precisely. Sales lead managementsoft could help marketing staffs to discover and cultivate high-quality potentialcustomers. With the improvement of sales lead quality, performing automatically leadmanagement process, the rapid response of high-quality lead, there will be more loyalcustomers, which could improve the performance of the company.The thesis pays close attention to the trend development of insurance industry andthe characteristic of sales lead management. Discuss the design and implementation ofsales lead management system in the insurance industry. At first, introduce the researchbackground and significance. Elaborate the information-oriented status of sales leadmanagement at home and abroad. Introduce the technology and theory in thedevelopment process, including B/S, J2EE, mainstream development framework andSQL Server2005. According to sale lead management soft demand, through adequateresearch, complete system requirement analysis from the three aspects of functionalrequirements, non functional requirements and data requirements. The use case diagramand data flow diagram illustrate the sale lead management business processes and lay asolid foundation for the following work. Complete the overall design of the system fromthe three angles of the function structure, technical architecture and database overalldesign. Through the overall design, further clarify the function. Sale lead managementsystem is divided into six modules, including file self-examining duplication, leading-in,sale lead assignment, SMS, visit tracking and report analysis. Complete the systemdetailed design of sales lead management, including database detailed design andfunctional module detailed design. The latter includes page function detailed design and program detailed design. According to system detailed design, set up the systemdevelopment environment and implement the main functions of the sales leadmanagement system. At last, through the system test from the four aspects of functionand structure, availability, compatibility and security, indicate that the sales lead systemsufficiently meets the needs of insurance companies.
