The Design And Application Of Material Management System Based On Workflow

Materials management is the fundamental of business operation as well as animportant part of business management, especially for the manufacturing companies.Efficient materials management will ensure, and an important way of improvingoperational and business. The manufacturing materials management includes: materialpurchasing, storage and distribution. It is not just a recorder to record the daily ordering,but also be positive to support manufacturing, to ensure the production meetrequirement with right category, quantity and required time. This is also the basicrequirement of LEAN manufacturing culture.Basing on the lean concept, this system is designed and developed for direct andindirect material requirement in the production of a semiconductor assembly and testmanufacturing. Following the Workflow concept, we designed this workflow basedmaterial management system, which is an integration of current popular programs:language and software development framework, large databases, communicationtechnology, network technology. First of all, we studied the background of workflowmaterial management system to know the status of this technology in China and allaround the world. Also we spent many time on the workflow model study and decide toembed the workflow technology in to the assembly and test manufacturing floormaterial management system. This paper will present the detailed function groupanalysis to state workflow management method. And finally work out a Workflowbased material manage system. This system had been tested and got the expected result.This paper will base on the object-oriented analysis and design to analyze thebusiness processes of material management (planning, storage). It will also talk aboutthe design and realization of workflow-based material management system, to proveworkflow technology is capable in manufacturing business process control andeffectiveness improvement.
