In recent years, with the rising demand for wood, the development of wood dryingequipment is also growing. In order to improve the utilization rate of wood, drying quality,drying rate, more and more people begin to pay close attention to the system of intelligentwood drying. In paper I take a lumber kiln of a company as the research background. Designand implement wood drying control system based on intelligent control.The design of the measurement and control system of wood drying consists of PCinterface software, bottom hardware control circuit board, inverter, fan, throttle, smoke valve,etc. bottom hardware system can implements six channel temperature acquisition、real timerecord、 RS485long distance transmission、 intelligence interactive LCD、 equipmenttemperature monitoring、power failure detection、temperature alarming、throttle and fanoperative mechanism controlling etc. The PC interface software, can real-time renderingtemperature curve and the historical data can stored in the PC, so that the future research ofwood process parameters as reference.In this paper, the development of wood drying equipment was analyzed. The dryersystem model was build,and provide a theoretic guide for implementing schemes of controlstrategic. the controlling object was drying kiln fueled with saw dust. To get the requirementof design precision of system by using high–resolution and filter circuit.Long distancecommunications with fast optocoupler make PC software communication accuracy andreal-time performance to meet the production requirements.Firstly, According to the Dynamic characteristic of the wood drying kiln and field testdata,modeling the temperature control system of lumber drying. To simulate the wind speedof two dimensional model of the wood drying kiln body and make a analysis by usingFLUENT software. Discussed the necessity of uniform wind speed in the wood drying kilnbody, set appropriate import wind speed by the frequency converter controlling the draughtfan.Secondly, Discussing the dynamic characteristic of the wood drying kiln. Through theintroduction of Fuzzy control theory, With fuzzy PID control algorithm control the opening ofthe choke. making a analysis and simulation of the wood drying kiln’s temperature controlsystem basing on MATLAB,which has important guiding significance for implementation andapplication.Thirdly,Design the Intelligent wood drying control system. According to the function ofeach module, With the STC12C5A60S2MCU as core processor, design the hardware platform. Take anti interference measures effectively, make the system more stable, reliable.According to the modular programming, combined with the main functions of wood dryingcontrol system, With fuzzy PID control algorithm design the system software. And finish thecomputer monitoring software.Lastly, the realization of measurement and control system. The results show that themeasuring and controlling system can tracking the setting temperature and get a good effectof wood drying. Enables it to achieve not bending deformation, good physical properties,andmeets quality requirement of the manufacturing departments.
