The multi-agent system is one of the main research directions of the distributed artificial intelligence. It is the newest direction of the artificial intelligence. It tries to adopt a new view and idea to understand, analyze and construct software system. Its research involves the multi-agent system’s structure, communication mode and language, coordination and consultation, etc.Agent collaboration is a key issue for the study of multi-agent system. This paper conducts the agents’collaborative approach research based on the contract nets, and analyzes the shortcomings. According to the drawbacks of the massive communication information of traditional contract nets model and its unchangeable task designation, incomprehensive valuation criteria and limitation of application, and according to the response of the threshold model of the ant colony algorithm, this paper proposes an improved method of contract nets protocol based on the bidding threshold and evaluation function. This method imports the fuzzy synthetic operation, unveils the potential relationship between node agents, and decomposes the complex task from the bottom up. It can effectively reduce the negotiation time and communication flow, and therefore improve the efficiency of the system.Communication is the basis and important approach for consultation and cooperation of different agents. Coordination and consultation are impossible without communication. This paper analyzes and studies the KQML structure, including the communication protocol, language content, news router, communication facilities, etc. According to the needs of the contract nets protocol, enlarge the KQML executive primitive, to make up for the lack of the task interaction primitive in the KQML. To realize the interactive cooperation in high level, complex, more turn about the target and the task between the agents.Finally, according to the distributed characteristics of wood drying kiln and the practical need of the wood drying factory, the multi-agent system is used in solving wood drying kiln distributed control issues. Embedded theory is applied in the real-time intelligence’s hardware structure design. At the same time, improved contract nets protocol is applied in real time agent software algorithm. Improved contract nets protocol is more superior to traditional contract nets protocol in communication and calculation by simulation. The experiment results show that the scheduling and control method can improve the overall efficiency of the wood drying control system and it is advanced to use in the field of the wood drying control scheduling.
