Development Of Drawing Management System For The Enterprise

Computer drawing management is a large application system, which is based onelectronic document to realize information exchange, to share drawings and electronicdocument information. Nowadays the society has full access to network era, the network ofCAD/CAM has become an inevitable trend in the development of manufacturing industry;however drawing management system can complete drawings and technology documents andfills entering into data base for technology personnel to search.The article is according to an enterprise actual demand to design and develop to adrawing management system, the design department adopts CAD (computer-aided design)and Pro/E (computer parametric design), and manufacturing departments use CAM(computer aided manufacturing) and CAPP (computer aided process). Applying thesessystems can improve production efficiency; enhance enterprise competitiveness in the peerindustry. But, it also raised some problem that how to effectively manage and share eachdepartment produced electronic files. PDM (product data management) technology is able tosolve these problems for large enterprise, but it is not fully suitable for medium sizeenterprise.The article mainly expounds how to apply PDM system frame into the medium andsmall machinery manufacture enterprise, through research and analysis entire companydrawing management to design a special modular drawing management system.. Due to thiscompany is mainly produce engine production line, each production line that related theproject has several hundred thousand AutoCAD electronic documents. This system mainlyresearch AutoCAD electronic document. For AutoCAD inspection, storage, sharing, whichwas made by company archives department. But the personnel of archives department is lackof knowledge of AutoCAD electronic document. So drawing management system is dividedinto drawings split module, drawing batch print module, drawing data search model. Givenall the function of these modules and software running environment, I divide drawing management into two parts that is traditional Client/Server part and current mainstreamBrowse/Server part, adopting corresponding AutoCAD-VBA language and ASP.net languageto develop.This system is mainly in order to improve staff of the archives work efficiency, improvethe accuracy of drawing print,save labor, maximize document sharing, transparent employeesworkload. This system has been used in the company archives department, at present, thissystem is running stable and reliable, and the affection is good. Through the research anddevelopment of this system, deeply understanding PDM system, especially for furtherunderstanding the research of computer application, improve my ability of softwaredevelopment.
