Drawings plays an important role in the field of industrial design, with the rapid development of computer science and network technology, computer-aided drawing technology has been widely used in the various fields of design and manufacturing industry. By using computer, Technician carries out analysis, designing, drawing and writing technical documents on engineering, machinery, electronics and products, and paper drawing has been gradually replaced by electronic drawings, previous drawing management mode can not adapt to the request of the ages. According to the requirement of the enterprise, the establishment of electronic drawing management system can improve the efficiency of management and utilization.Based on the actual work of the Tianjin Water Authority, the subject develops a drawing application and management system to meet the requirements of the drawing information management. We design a drawing management software to improve the efficiency of the drawings management, and realize the resource sharing within the enterprise and the reuse of drawings files based on the network technology.This paper firstly describes the background of system development and the research status of domestic drawing management system, and then proposes a series of problems that exist in massive usage of ACD. In order to solve these problems, we analyze on the system functional requirements and non-functional requirements, and elaborate with illustrations.In system architecture design phase, we determine the system design target and principle according to the analysis on the system demand. In the design phase of the technical architecture, we have done a comparative analysis on C/S,B/S system mode,.NET and J2EE development platform, and we develop the engineering drawings management system using B/S architecture technology and MVC design pattern based on J2EE platform. In Functional architecture design stage, we design the function package of the system, and make the detailed planning of each part of system.Based on the design of the system architecture, we make a further detailed design on engineering drawing management system, and establish static and dynamic models using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), the static model is mainly shown by form of systematic relationship class diagrams, with the timing diagram collaboration diagram and system activity diagram to describe the dynamic model. We manage data of the engineering drawings management system using SQL server2000.The fifth part is designed by main structure of the system, business functions and database, the coding make the available to catch the module function. The overall implementation of the system is according to a certain logic structure, layered achieved. First,to design each functional module, implemented through the database, then transforming the entire job for system processes, to achieve the purpose of the work of the man-machine dialogue. It is also be completed system testing during the actual operating environment, make sure its normal operation can be going well, to make he further improvement for the lack part for meet the user requirement of the system.Finally, the paper briefly describes the application situation of the engineering drawing management system in the actual work, and determine future improve research directions of update systemIn summary, this subject basis on the analysis of user needs and drawing information management research, to design and realization of the unit suitable for engineering drawing management system, and achieved expected results in actual work.
