In the context of The Integration of Information Technology and Industrialization presented by the state, Xinwen Mining Group (as Xinwen Group) developed the information technology construction plan accordingly. By doing this, it tries to realize effective corporate governance and internal control. So as to achieve meticulous management and enterprise resource optimal, and thus it could improve the core competitiveness of the enterprise ultimately. To this end, Xinwen Group precedes the promotion and application of information technology actively. It conducts the development and utilization of information resources, aiming to establish a unified, integrated and controllable information technology platform, which would provide comprehensive support for production security of the entire Group, operation and management, strategic decision-making, as well as risk control. And thus the Group could establish scientific decision-making, standardized management, and also specialized and collaborative operation. On the one hand, the BI System of the Integrated Information Platform for Xinwen Group collects data of basic information from the grassroots teams, to ensure that data and information is instant, accurate and complete. On the other hand, it creates a data warehouse for data collection and collation. It is intended to prepare for decision-making support, business intelligence and rule prediction in order to improve the utilization of information system, which would turn enterprise info into resource, and ultimately achieve the purpose of "support decision-making, serve management".Firstly, this thesis analyzed the background of the information construction and system development of Xinwen Group. It summed up the main problems that needed to be solved. It analyzed the BI system of the integrated information platform thoroughly and meticulously. The thesis takes the construction of the BI system of the Integrated Information Platform as the main line. It firstly conducts the architecture design of the BI system of the Integrated Information Platform. It presented the blue print of the system design, and stated the system composition, functions and technical principles. Secondly, the thesis analyzed data collection and data base construction with special focus. Data collection is completed to determine the system from which to extract what data, how to ensure the consistency and integrity of similar data from different data source, and how the conversion is completed when the data is loaded into the data base, as well as how to handle the conversion and The error loading process to ensure accuracy and reliability. To accomplish the design of the data base, determine the storage mechanism for data basing, business analysis of the data model, and the mapping of the data base source database relations. The design work of the data base should start first in the construction of the BI system, it is needed to complete the design of the data warehouse in order to start the scheduling data collection design; Moreover, the development of business applications of functional analysis could be synchronized. Finally, to create report forms and analysis applications on the basis of ETL, data warehousing using advanced BI analysis tools to provide flexible OLAP analysis and special reports to assist leadership decision-making.It is critically acclaimed by all the users of the BI System of the Integrated Information Platform. Three-dimensional integrated information and key performance indicators bring excellent experience to the users. Some business system BUG has also been highlighted through analyzing the results during the process of the usage of the system. It is confirmed that some business systems have unclear or incorrect logic process. It is a promotion of perfection for Xinwen Group business system.
