With the advent of computer and the massive usage of Internet,a large volume of data has been continuously produced in every corner of the world. While more and more people are realizing the importance of date and looking at it for inspiration, its value is significantly underappreciated in the area of higher education, which has long been considered as an enclosed traditional system.Compared to the business world, higher education has a much lower level of acceptance and adoption rate of any new kinds of technologies for the running of schools and institutions.Data is stored in systems and databases, but numbers won't mean a thing if we fail to convert them into meaningful "intelligence".The translation job is always assisted by a variety of tools, among which Customer Relationship Management is a very effective yet easy on hand one.Accordingly, this study will look into this specific area, the role and usage of CRM in US higher education,a case study of the Georgetown University.By interpreting CRM's function in decision-making,I hope to straight out its status quo with US higher education, represented by the Georgetown University. At the same time,I will study into the users' satisfaction model in this case and looking at the variables that influence users' satisfaction toward this CRM system.
