With the rapid development of network technology, the daily operation of society isincreasingly inseparable from the data. Any loss or destruction of data will bringincalculable damage. Therefore, using backup systems to protect the integrity and securityof data has become the people’s urgent needs. For these valuable data, how to build a secureand reliable backup system is one of research hot in storage area. Now, a part of backupsystems have been successfully used in business, however, its high cost and large-scalebackup data discouraged individuals. Meanwhile, the emergence and the popularity ofintelligent mobile terminal device, spurred growing demand on its software multifunctional.The issue is based on this background, combined on the two hot issues of data backup andintelligent mobile terminal, it designed and achieved a computer file backup system basedon android mobile terminal that fit for personal users.This paper first outline the basic working principle of existing backup technology, andintroduces android system architecture and the core application components. Sometheoretical knowledge and key technologies of backup are thoroughly researched. Combinedwith the characteristics of the mobile terminal, an improved differential backup is proposed.And the improved method of backup is primarily to obtain the difference information of thefile on the computer side, and forming a differential file. This improved method can reducethe overhead of system resources of the mobile terminal, balance the load of backup system,and can effectively improve the performance of system backup. It is established on the basisof the three principles of system availability, security and scalability, a file backup system’soverall architecture and business process are designed. The system can be divided into:backup subsystem, recovery subsystem and security subsystem. This paper implementsdetailed functional modules that make up each of the subsystems. The backup systemperformance is verified by experiments, the results show that the file backup systemdesigned in this paper has a good rate of backup and recovery, and it can safely andaccurately execute backup and recovery tasks.
