Along with the success of the rapid networking of China’s Beidou satellite navigationsystem, breaking the exclusive world situation of the United States GPS satellite navigationsystem; But currently on the market are mostly of GPS satellite navigation products, Beidousatellite navigation products losing. It is based on the needs of the broad market, which isundoubtedly to the development of navigation products company a great opportunity andchallenge. This paper is aimed at the needs of the market, the different navigation productscompany’s request, the form of a full analysis of China’s satellite navigation products market,as well as the chip can effectively realize the scheme, worked out in line with the needs ofChina’s satellite navigation products market and the based solutions of the GPS/Beidou Ⅱdual-mode baseband chip, and finally the successful realization tape-out of the GPS/BeidouⅡ dual-mode baseband chip.Therefore, This paper is the use of different low-power technology research design ofthe GPS/Beidou Ⅱ dual-mode baseband chip. This article mainly research content are:Firstly, analyzed the main sources of power consumption for SOC circuit, as well assome of the major low-power technology for these power sources, and through thecomparison of different low-power technology, put forward a low-power program to realizethe GPS/Compass Ⅱ dual-mode baseband chip.Secondly, Analyzed of the GPS/Beidou Ⅱ dual-mode baseband chip design architecture,as well as to the entire system uses the IP multiplexing and module design method, thedesign of the whole system voltage control module and a clock reset management module,and the whole system for effective clock reset management and the low-power control ofpower consumption.Thirdly, The design of the GPS/Beidou Ⅱ dual-mode baseband system simulationenvironment, through building system simulation platform, and puts forward the effectivesystem test function points, fully integrated VMM advanced verification methodologymethod, effective on the chip for system verification.Finally, the design of the GPS/Beidou Ⅱ dual-mode baseband chip FPGA prototypeverification environment, through realistic simulation of the actual chip work environmentin FPGA development board, effective verification of chip and application software programin BUG.
