With the development of the Internet and rapid rise of e-commerce, traditionalforms of sales have not already kept up the trend of the times. Nowadays, it is acommon practice for a sales company to be equipped with a set of e-commercesystem, but without it the company will be at a serious disadvantage.In this paper, from theoretical and practical perspectives, the current situation ofe-commerce systems is analyzed; a detailed comparison between e-commerce systemsat home and abroad are made; differences, advantages and disadvantages betweenelectronic and traditional malls are explained. The description of the content andsignificance of this study is followed by the demand analysis and feasibility studies ofthe system. The architecture design, outline design and module division of the mallmanagement system are discussed step by step. Then the detailed designs for eachmodule and database structure are made. Meanwhile, the software and hardwareenvironment for developing the system, developing tools and the systemimplementation process are introduced. Finally, an introduction of the testing andoperating the system, a comment on advantages and disadvantages of the system anda brief outlook on the function for the system to implement in the future are given.The system effectively relieves the sales company’s inventory pressures, easilyrecords the important information of the commodity quantity, price, inventory, etc.and greatly improves the efficiency of making sales statistics, managing staff, andresponding to the order process, etc. The company’s business is no longer restricted byspace and time; the company’s operating costs, as well as its management costs onpersonnel and goods are reduced.
