The Auto intelligent battery sensor ASSP IC, can provide great solution on monitoring the voltage, current and temperature of the battery, and can measure the voltage, current and temperature of the battery, and then calculate the status of the battery, and all the actions above can be done even in the worst condition. As long as the development of the Hybrid Electric Vehicle and the whole car electronic content, also with the Start/ Stop system being published, it becomes very important to evaluate the battery parameters. This IC contains a 16bit S12 MCU and an analog die with SMARTMOS technology. Both digital and analog dies are assembled in one package, to achieve multiple functions and reduce the size of the IC package, this also helps to provide low power at auto environment. This paper focus on the research and development of the auto intelligent battery sensor ASSP IC L/B and method improvement and cost reduction, as well as the stability and reliability.
