There are150million aged people and82.96million disabled people in china,involving260million families. We are faced with the challenge of using the technology tohelp their daily lives. Bathing is very important for improving their life quality. It can helpto ensure the cleanness, improve blood circulation; and it can also help to find whetherthere are damaged or diseased part on their body. In our country, the research on bath aidis started relatively later and behindhand, which cannot meet the requirement. Thus, thispaper introduces a bath aid for the aged and disabled people; it has the function oftemperature control, water therapy control and centralized monitoring. Based on thesefunctions, we designed the hardware and software for the control system.The control system consists of upper computer and lower computer. Using DSP2812as its core processor, the system can collect the information around the bath tub, includingtemperature, water level etc. For the hardware, the standard components and modulecircuit units are used. The software is divided into three parts: slave computer program,the monitoring program and driver. Using the CCS platform, software is written in module.The PID algorithm has been applied for temperature control and Kingview runs on theposition computer for configuration.Finally, the whole system is debugged and runs for experiment, which have achievedthe expected effects. Due to its low cost, simple structure and safety, the system has agood prospect in the field of rehabilitation.
