The thesis, research on multi-parameter optimization control system for fermentation based on KingView, is a part of the project—Intelligent multi-parameter inspection and control instruments on water environment with fieldbus which is sponsored by the Industrial Key Project found of JiangSu province.Due to the time-vary and nonlinear features of microbe fermentation process and its complex inherent mechanism, it is hard to construct dynamic models for fermentation. Furthermore, some important biologic parameters can not be measured online, that made the fermentation process always blindly controlled.Taken the fermentation process of Penicillin as example, a neural network model is established for predicting some important biologic parameters on-line in this article. Using the predicted biologic parameters, several key physical parameters is optimized with the Genetic Algorithm. Furthermore, the entire fermentation control system has been successfully constructed.The main contributions of this thesis are as follows:①Firstly, a neural network model for penicillin fermentation process is designed. The training and test data come from factory production. Using this model, the concentration of penicillium, substrate, penicillin and the fermentation phase can be predicted well. The forecast of fermentation phase is greatly helpful to the control of fermentation process.②Using the neural network built for prediction, the genetic algorithm can search for the optimal feed rate, pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen concentration in fermentation process dynamic. The optimal trajectories can be trailed by on-line adjustments. Result shows that the production of penicillin is obviously promoted using this method.③The entire fermentation optimal monitor system has been successfully constructed. The configuration software Kingview is used to configure the upper-computer, and singlechip has been programmed as the lower controller. This complicated monitor software is programmd by KingView and Matlab jointly based on the DDE protocol. In this method, Matlab implements complicated algorithm, while KingView implements user friendly inerface.The application of this fermentation optimization control system benefits the economic by increasing the production and reducing the energy consume.
