Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automatic identification technologywhich uses the electromagnetic coupling between the reader and electronic tag toachieve the data communication, so as to achieve the identification of the electronic tags.RFID has small size, the recognition distance and high degree of automation, which iswidely applied to various industries, especially in the logistics and distribution centerfor its bring about tremendous change.But the modern logistics distribution involvesmany diverse products, needs to collect a lot of data, and requires very high accuracyand real-time of the information.and demands to ensure the reliable interaction of thesedate with the upper system. In the process of deployment of RFID equipment, someproblems are met in the difference of equipment, and how to integrate with upperapplication systems. To solve these problems, the RFID middleware provides aneffective solution. This article analysed the key technology of the RFID middleware.Farthermore, the scheme based on application of logistics distribution center is designedthrough combining with the specific application field, so as to improve efficiency andaccuracy on process of distribution.Firstly, this paper discussed the advantages of RFID in logistics and distributioncenter, and the present research status at home and abroad for RFID middleware,furthermore, the working principle of the RFID system was analysised on hardware andsoftware.Then, the key technology of RFID middware was researched, which containscycle event processing model based on ALE specification, equipment adaptation,message transferring and queuing, and tags transcoding.On this basis of research, resorting to the design idea of component,the paperdetailed designed a new overall structure and four modules of the RFID middleware.The authentication of legitimate user and the management of other module are achievedby control position module. By logic mapping, equipment and management modulereduced the association between upper system and equipment, shielded the differencesof equipment and achieved various operation for reader. Data processing module cantransform gathered data into event date which upper application program needed throughredundancy filtering, status filtering and code filtering. Using interactive module completes the docking between middleware and applications in order to interactinformation.In order to improve application program integration, the middleware exchangeinformation with the back-end database by using Webservice which deployed server.Subsequently, the feasibility and practicality were verified by testing the overallperformance of RFID middleware.
