Twenty-first Century is a golden age for the tourism industry. The competition of the tourist market is becoming more and fiercer. The effective dissemination of tourism information is crucial to the development of the tourism industry because tourism commodity market must depend on the information to achieve sales of communication between the two sides for the particularity of tourism.The tourism characteristics makes the dissemination of tourism information become a special phenomenon of information dissemination. The paper, from the perspective of dissemination and tourism of science, studies the Guilin tourism information dissemination. Firstly, clearly define and explain the connotations and the theory involved and the characteristics of the tourism information and instructions. Secondly, create the Guilin tourism information communication model based on the Lasswell’s "5W’ mass communication model and analyze the mode of the elements that influence the spread of tourism information. And then study the situation and the problems of tourism information transmission in Guilin based on the questionnaire. The survey reveals that person-to-person communication plays a important role of tourist’s travel decisions, and should not be ignored, which is the motive power of Guilin city image communication. At the same time, there are some problems makes the city image communication does not consistent with the fame of Guilin a old city of tourism, For example, the people of Guilin tourism information transmission are still paid more attention on the inputs of communicators spread and neglect the research and evaluation of effect on the dissemination of information dissemination; The contents lack variety or excitement, there is a gap between the mass media and audience. It is unreasonable on choosing the mass media. The local medias are under developing. Finally, propose the practical strategies to the existing problems.This paper will contribute to theoretical construction for information Communication due to the comprehensive analysis and effective accommodation to the existing research results, the basic concepts, mode, factors which makes the article more systemic. Furthermore, the paper has practical reference significance for other tourist cities because it based on the case study, proposes the strategy of development of the tourism information dissemination according to the survey results. So it can be said that the paper is a theoretical and empirical research on the tourism field of information dissemination.
