| Modern garment industries have become a modern comprehensive industry closely combining technology and arts integrating information, design, production, promotion, advertising media a whole from traditional handicraft industry. With the improvement and promotion of computer technology, computer aided design(CAD) has been promoted in garment field too, and obtained a better economic and social benefits, become an important symbol of business design level and product quality.Since the first set of garment CAD system was developed in England in the beginning of the1970s,new technologies has been developing continuously. So far, a garment CAD system consisting of fashion design, pattern design and clothing grading, marker subsystem,3-D fitting system has covered the process of garment design. In the foreign garment CAD technology, the system of Gerber Company in America is the most famous. The CAD price of the more mature technology is very expensive. Most of the clothing manufacturers in China is small and medium enterprises with a limited funding of technical innovation. Therefore, in the early of1980s in our country, the development of garment CAD system has been listed in the national "Seventh-five Spark Plan".So far,2D CAD technologies is more mature. With the emergence of modern garment CAD software, every software designer tries their best to make the software different from the others and better than them.With the rapid development of social technology, the people’s ideology and the seek of life quality have changed a lot. On one hand, people can obtain a lot of information rapidly; on the other hand,interpersonal relation becomes estranged and indifferent. Under the pressure of high strength and fast pace, people need a life space of warmer, more comfortable, conforming to the emotion requirement. At the time, emotional design theory as product design guiding theory is widely used in the product development. For a designer, the designed product not only has usable function, but also spiritual, cultural, ideological features. As a result, CAD developers concentrate on designing the software interface, improving2-D/3-D technology, let the product achieve an effective, easy to learn, friendly, convenient and fast human nature for the users.In the paper, application and development of emotional design in garment CAD design is mainly studied. By investigating the garment CAD market situation at home and abroad, the difference between China and foreign garment CAD are analyzed Emotional design functions of all kinds of different brand garment CAD are researched concentrically, the intelligent direction of future garment CAD are summarized, hoping to help the development of Chinese garment CAD. |
