In recent years, with the development of science and technology and people’s living standards improving, the on-demand streaming business has been widely used, developed rapidly. However, due to the technology is not very mature, there are many problems, such as bandwidth consumption is large, poor scalability, and users management is difficult, and so on. Therefore, research on the on-demand streaming system based on P2SP is of great significance.The traditional transmission of streaming media is the centralized network model based on CDN. The traditional CDN system uses hierarchical networking technology which facing many problems, like limited network bandwidth, limited server processing capacity, poor scalability and low utilization of network resources and so on. Therefore it can’t meet the need of the customer. If the system uses the pure P2P network transmission structure, it will face many problems, like the user is difficult to manage, the copyright issues, user as a server node. offline rate is high.In this paper, a design method of on-demand streaming system based on P2SP was put forward. The method can reduce the server-side pressure, and solve the limited bandwidth problem faced by CDN effectively. By the same time, the method improves the system scalability, and solve many problems like the user is difficult to manage, copyright issues and so on. It ensure the quality of service even if the client is offline which as a server node. It ensure users can have a good audio-visual experience and good quality of service. In this paper, the key algorithms used in the on-demand streaming system was studied.Through the system simulation and performance analysis, the design method of the on-demand streaming system based on P2SP has high feasibility, and it has certain reference significance for practical application.
