Study On The Construction Of Characteristic Digital Resources In Inner Mongolia

Since the1980s, digital resource has been coming to the world and the library began tofocus on the development of it. Digital resources generated because of rapid development ofInternet in the1990s, therefore, digital resources become an important source to access toinformation and knowledge. Many national libraries are developing digital resourcesdevelopment strategies and building Literature Information Resource System to fulfill thegrowing information needs of people in the twentieth-first century. Traditional patterns ofthe literature resources construction and simple construction of digital library collectioncannot be able to adapt to users’ requirements for the construction of libraries’ resources inthe information service mode environment. Special digital resources as the splendid digitalresource to fulfill the growing information needs of users, which takes the role of informationrequirements and becomes the core factor. Books, information and other related professionalsbecome more essential and researchers begin to pay attention to the construction of digitalresources and study on regional characteristic of digital resources construction in1996. Toadapt to the various existing resources and modern technical patterns that we establish theregional characteristics of digital resources.Therefore, it can promote economy,culture,society and nationality of this region.This paper references domestic and foreign digital resources construction and combinesit with the actual of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It proposes the option of theconstruction of special digital resources in the Mongolia Autonomous Region. Firstly, it statesdigital resources, special digital resources,special digital resources construction and relatedconcepts. Secondly, it had investigated the present situation of various types of libraries’digital resources construction in the Inner Mongolia by the net method and analyzed thesurvey data. Currently, in order to address the issues of digital resources construction that theauthor proposes the option of digital resources construction in the Inner MongoliaAutonomous Region characteristics.To build digital resources that we should combine thespecial with needs of the society and cooperate to build the libraries and share theresources.The main purpose of the construction in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region isto build special digital resource sharing and information service system to fulfill theinformation needs of the readers, research institutions and industries. It can provideprofessional, comprehensive, systematic, sophisticated and versatile information services. Atthe same time, it can guarantee the political, economic, cultural, educational and socialdevelopment information resources in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This articlealso bases on a variety of resources in the Inner Mongolia and makes a design and referencesselection of examples.In addition, it analysis CALIS and JALIS modes of digital resourcesconstruction in China and combines it with the actual of Inner Mongolia AutonomousRegion.It discusses the construction model of the characteristics of digital resources in InnerMongolia which includes cooperation construction, unified search and resource sharing modelof cooperation; scattered construction, unified search and construction of resource sharing mode and mixed mode. The paper proposes several steps of construction and discuss on thecharacteristic of digital resources construction in Inner Mongolia sustainable development.
