ZigBee-Based Roof Separation Monitor

It is very difficult to collect and then transfer information of the coal mine to the underground because the humidity, temperature, spatial composition of the that is,as usual, away from the surface is very different from the surface and most of the coalbed has special conditions of the water seepage. It has a great significance to real-time monitor the underground conditions and keep the transmission of underground information smooth. To ensure safety mine production, roof separation monitor based on Zigbee which is consist in a number of data-collection nodes and sub-station whose core device is CC2530and STM32respectively and in which the information collection, passing and processing is integrated as a whole is designed and implemented depend on the collection needs for mine roof displacement. Many data can be collected by the same note which is battery-powered and wirelessly transmitted in order to adapt to the underground conditions, to avoid the drawbacks of the cable-powered and wired transmission, and to improve the security and reliability. And then processed and stored by the repeater. The collected data is sent over the wireless network by the note in most time, but it also can be transmit by the wire form when necessary, and the note also has a certain storage capacity to ensure that data is not missing. Sub-station has a friendly man-machine interface, which is used to have the access to data fast and conveniently and system setting and has a powerful data storage capacity and multiple communication interfaces to accommodate the need of data dumping in different occasions. Underground space environment constitute an organic whole which is relatively closed, decentralized and has difficulty in information delivery by the wireless network to achieve information collection and communication fast and flexibly.
