As the main safety accident in coal mine, roof accident causes enormous losses andthreat to the national property and safety of the lives of the people. It has important practicalsignificance to strengthen the monitoring of the roof pressure for coal mine safety. Traditionalmining-site observing systems requires manual timing-reading, can not do real-timemonitoring. As pressure data is not able to stored, the changes on the roof pressure patternsand trends can not be systematic and comprehensive analysied. Althoughbusiness-to-network-based coal mine roof pressure monitoring systems have been studied, butthey are mostly based on wire techniques. The line was easy to aging or corrosion, wear,leading to failure and false alarm.Wireless Sensor Network for Coal Mine PressureMonitoring System can solve the above problems.ZigBee technology is a new short-range wireless communications technology. It has alow power, low complexity, short delay, low data rate, low cost.With ZigBee techniqueintroduced, the wireless sensor networkcan be widely applied to environmental monitoring,smart home, industrial control and other fields.In this paper, the design and implementation of a ZigBee-based wireless pressure sensortechnology was researched.The network design including hardware and software systems intwo parts.The mine roof pressure monitoring system hardware mainly including the sensornodes, router nodes, the coordinator node and the host computer, of which the sensor nodes,router nodes, the coordinator nodes of wireless sensor network is responsible for collectingpressure data and send to the host computer, PCmachine is responsible for pressure dataanalysising and processing.Sensor nodes, router nodes, the coordinator node design are basedon the CC2430 RF chip, supporting the necessary peripheral circuits, the principle of modulardesign, easy maintenance and expansion of the hardware system.The hardware design of sensor nodes are studied primarily.Software components for the ZigBee protocol stack, theIAR EW development environment to design the network each node of the software, anddebugging software, burn the program on the node hardware, the networking.Compared with traditional methods, the monitoring system has free wiring, easymaintenance, strong anti-interference, good scalability, flexibility, etc., can be easily appliedto practical applications.After a preliminary design and implementation, and through testing,the system is basically designed to achieve the desired purpose.
