At present, the domestic logistics enterprises establish their own logistics informationplatform mostly by the traditional software model to commercialize. Software commercial-ization is that logistics buy Software development company’s products. This type of softwareis the sale of goods to sell the software applications, but it brings some problems which cannot be solved, such as large upfront investment, software system cannot meet the customerindividual needs, a long time updates and maintenance etc. But software base on SaaS modecan solve these problems easily. Simultaneously it also brought a huge positive for theenterprise, such as no need to purchase, no need to set up the operation and maintenance team,with the low costs Etc.As the emergence of new application model, SaaS operating mechanism is based on theInternet. It provides specific services to the customers through online renting, and offer morefunction diverse than traditional software. For example, it can be personalized develop, andcan be used by more tenants online at the same time. It also expands the number of users toaccess and other advantages. SaaS mode function has been improved gradually since thedevelopment from one to four in the process. It forms a feature which almost covers allspecific needs.In order to solve these problems of traditional software application model, the logisticsinformation system in the SaaS mode was studied in this thesis. Firstly, the SaaS model isbriefly introduced through the analysis of public logistics information platform. This thesisdescribes the differences and the pros and cons between the traditional platform applicationmodel and SaaS application model, it describes the public logistics information platform SaaSapplications necessity and it studies the SaaS model of public logistics information platformarchitecture in this thesis. This thesis designs a functional and business architecture model byanalyzing the part of the business modules of public logistics platform and establishes aplatform architecture that functions and business processes are more comprehensive withSaaS features in the framework of Level3maturity. Finally, the thesis showed the designideas about the system in network application security. It briefly shows the system operationand application in specific areas in the last part of the thesis, the conclusion is the purpose ofthis study.
