In recent years, with the rapid development of software industry and the increasing scale of software, the cost of purchasing, delivering and operating the software keeps rising, while corporations demand for much more information technology and a better software delivery model to reduce users’ cost burden. As a result, SaaS software delivery model appears, and attracts widespread attention from software industry. As a new idea of software, SaaS has a number of prominent features and many outstanding key technical problems too. In this paper, based on background issues and combining with advanced technologies, SaaS architecture of high maturity which supported by SaaS platform is proposed. Then we analyze and design its functions in detail, which makes SaaS services management more normative, and software designed on this architecture more secure, reliable and better to meet users’high level requirements for operation and maintenance.Meanwhile in this paper, we made an in-depth study of single sign-on (SSO) of SaaS mode, analyzed the security and strategy of SAML-based single sign-on model, and combined with the problems and characteristics of single sign-on in SaaS mode propose improvements based on the SAML SSO model, which is lastly applied to the authentication center of SaaS framework to implement single sign-on of SaaS.Finally, we implemented partial function of proposed SaaS platform architecture in the paper, while we focus on detailed design and development of SaaS SSO model which is proposed in this paper, and combining with an experimental example to show the implementation results, which indicates that proposed model met the feasibility of adaptive targets.
