As the continuous development of science and technology combined with theimprovement of industrial management, the requirements for the safety, efficient andlong-playing operation of the mechanical equipment are becoming more and morecritical,which makes us pay more attention to the detection and analysis technique in themechanical fault diagnosis. It has been found that advanced signal analysis technologyand effective means of fault diagnosis can reduce the failure occurrence rate. For thepurpose of fault diagnosis, this paper designs a multi-channel data acquisition andanalysis system based on DSP+ARM mode.This paper determines design scheme of multi-channel data acquisition systemwhich consists of two parts: one is data acquisition and analysis taking DSP chipTMS320F2812of the C2000series as the core processor,and another is proceeding datastorage and system control based on the embedded motherboard EM9170. In the dataacquisition part, the preprocessing of vibration signal, key phase signal andtechnological parameters is the basis of accurate data, and ADC chip MAX1320withfunction of parallel data acquisition is the core of entire data acquisition system, whichwill be introduced in detail in this paper. In the data analysis part, the commonalgorithms of signal processing such as FFT, FIR on TMS320F2812is studied, andfunction of data analysis simulates analysis is completed in the laboratory by simulatingthe original data in the CCS environment. Embedded Windows CE is transplanted toEM9170conducted as the operating system. On this basis, Windows CE achieve thefunctions such as data reduction, data storage, man-machine interface and control tooverall system. Raw data and characteristic value of the entire system will be stored in alocal database SD card and the remote database. The system control parts is mastered byISA bus of EM9170which respectively controls filtering frequency of singleconditioning, voltage of key signal, frequency multiplication of rotating speed anddual-CPU communication.This paper introduces detailedly data acquisition module, microprocessor module,power supply and reset module of dual-core data acquisition system as well as control module’s hardware design of the whole system. Furthermore, it also analyses dataacquisition module, DSP system software design, ARM system software design and therelated communication between DSP and RAM.The system fully combines the real-time signal processing ability of DSP andtransaction management ability of RAM to conduct analysis and storage by using sensortechnology, data acquisition technology and data processing technology. It provides rich,accurate and high real-time data resources for further fault diagnosis system in order tomake sure that follow-up system can analyze the running status of machine well,achieving the functions of real-time monitoring and diagnosis to running state of rotatingmechanism, and eventually suppling scientific theory basis for system users accurately.Archetype development of the system has been completed and put into use, and theindicators meet the design requirements when the system works smoothly.
