Due to the problems like complexity in wiring and difficulty in extending, traditional data acquisition systems based on cable network were unable to adapt to applications of specific occasions. In view of the plight of cable networks, also according to the service requirements of field data acquisition and monitoring systems, an environmental data acquisition system based on ZigBee network and a remote data acquisition and transmission system based on GPRS networks were designed and implemented in this paper. By building up a ZigBee network with sensors, server got environmental parameter and device status by polling, which well solved the problem of wiring. The remote data acquisition was achieved by GPRS network, and the paper proposes a multi-channel transmission algorithm, which can enlarge the bandwidth and optimize the remote transfer mechanism for massive data.Aiming at the management of massive data, partition table and subtable technology was used to improve the efficiency of system access in this paper. A historical data storage scheme by second-phase cache was proposed, which can reduce the burden of real-time system and help to long-term running. To solve the issues about equipment failure, a fault diagnosis method based on time series data mining was proposed, which can provide the ability of intelligent fault diagnosis for system, then enhance the robustness of system. The test results show that the system performs well on wireless communication, it also demonstrates good ability for fault diagnosis.
